    Amber Harper is an associate in the California office of Smith LC.

    Prior to joining Smith LC, Ms. Harper was general counsel for an international manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Qingdao, China and Orange County, California. While in this position, Ms. Harper handled the creation of human resource policies and procedures and negotiations for commercial real property transactions, substantial purchase orders totaling millions of dollars, and vital vendor contracts, including complex international freight services along with domestic freight services, which totaled more than $750,000 a year. Ms. Harper was further responsible for managing responses to intellectual property inquiries and enforcing intellectual property interests. Ms. Harper’s prior experience has provided her with in-depth knowledge of the legal needs of small to large businesses doing business in a global landscape.

    After joining Smith LC as an associate in May of 2015, Ms. Harper has focused her practice primarily on business litigation and transactional matters. In addition, Ms. Harper handles probate matters for select clients.

    Ms. Harper received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara and received her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Trial and Appellate practice from Whittier College of Law in 2012.
