Kipp S. Muir
Kipp Muir is an associate at Smith LC focusing on complex civil litigation. Mr. Muir has litigated matters related to breach of contract, employment agreements, shareholder and partnership disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, wrongful competition claims, and employment disputes. He successfully represents plaintiffs and defendants alike. Mr. Muir’s notable accomplishments for his clients include an arbitration award of over $600,000, obtaining a complete dismissal with prejudice, and disposing of claims for more than $10,000,000 by dispositive motion.
Mr. Muir received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2011 from Brigham Young University. In 2014, he graduated from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School with his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude. While at law school, Mr. Muir served as a Managing Editor for the BYU Law Review, won the BYU Negotiation Competition, and was a finalist in the Woody Deem Trial Advocacy Competition. He also interned with Judge Steven L. Hansen of Utah’s Fourth District Court.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, skiing, and relaxing with his wife and daughter.
