Aaron Harris is a shareholder at the SMITH LC Utah office. He is an experienced trial attorney who represents clients in all areas of litigation, including conflicts and disputes in the following areas: commercial (including extensive experience in trade secret and restrictive covenant cases), contract enforcement, real property, divorce, and construction defect. His litigation practice focuses heavily on contract interpretation and enforcement and he litigates the meaning and application of contracts all across a spectrum of subject areas, including non-competition and non-solicitation covenants, real estate purchase contracts, commercial leases, creditor-debtor contracts, royalty agreements, purchase agreements, and pre-nuptial agreements. He also is routinely retained by liability insurance carriers to represent clients that have been sued.
Aaron has litigated cases in both state and federal court throughout Utah, and has also appeared in cases in Oregon and California. He has argued several cases to the Utah Court of Appeals and has also argued in front of the California Court of Appeals and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado. He also has significant experience in arbitration and in administrative appeals and other regulatory proceedings.
Aaron’s practice is not limited to litigation; he also represents individuals and companies in business formation and other types of transactional law.
